But there are those who would try to silence the operation of my gifts in the church if they could by misinterpreting the passages in the letters to the churches which were addressing specific issues regarding some women who were clearly uneducated and teaching error.

One would have to use scissors on a lot of scripture to harmonize their interpretation that all women must not speak or lead in church.

How wonderful to hear from a woman's point of view. Few men would ever give this any real study for it would make them have to repent of their love of ruling over and dominating women.

Eve's curse (punishment) was to be ruled over by Adam - it would be painful for her since she was equal to him before the Fall. Gen 3. It was meant to be punishment.

What resulted was a male dominated world which has always been a cursed thing for women. Look at the history of the planet and look at the pain being inflicted upon women in the 21 century. The curse was meant to punish her gender just as pain in childbirth and multiple births were meant also as punishment.

A curse is punitive not redemptive in nature.

Punishment it is. Who would think of increasing a women's pain in childbirth? Why rule-over her without considering the disrespect that is usually projected upon her?

“All women keep silent – you have nothing worthy of hearing.” Ugh! How degrading. How painful to be treated that way.

In God's mercy, Paul describes how this punishment can be escaped. Men loving women, and woman respecting men. It is about leadership not domination.

I am always stunned to see this cursed behavior in a church which is sometimes even applauded by women; most marriages collapse because of it. Ever wonder why there is so much divorce today?

Women are just as guilty. They also punish their husbands and other men by intensifying the curse men are under. Many a woman will never lift a finger to help a man, disrespect him, never try to lighten his burden, or give encouragement, or comfort for the difficulty he experiences as he labors by the sweat of his brow for their families.

Many a church, many a marriage could be healed by getting this right. I encourage men and women to read Elreta's insightful book "Is God a Chauvinist?" - God is clearly not a chauvinist; men should not be either.

This does not elevate women over men or vice versa, it simply shows that men and women are equal – just as they were in the Garden of Eden – so shall heaven lift every curse and equality is restored, no marriage there, no laboring by the sweat of the brow there and one day we have a new earth.

Then all the curses with it's punishments will end.

And after reading your argument regarding women in...

And after reading your argument regarding women in ministry, I say, right on, sister, right on!

I commend what you are doing in the name of the Lord, and it is inspiring to see another writer using her gifts for His glory.

Keep On Writing
